backing track: Meet the Baby

Verse 1
Feel the splinters in your hand as you push the wooden door
Hear the creaking rusty hinge and the rustle of the straw
Smell the warmth of the animals and the hint of spice in the air
See the silver starlight on the manger there.

Chorus
Come into the stable
Come, one and all
Come and meet the baby king
So great and so small.

Verse 2
Brush your hand against a wing that's whiter than a bird
Is there music playing here, the sweetest that you've heard?
Catch a glimpse of a shimmering face as another angel leans down
Breathe the scent of lilies from the heavenly crowd.

Chorus...

Verse 3
Touch the furry donkey's head as you tiptoe softly by
Hear the murmur of the crowd and the sleepy newborn cry
Catch your breath in astonishment and hold out your finger, because
You see the eyes of Jesus gazing into yours.
