Introducing Godly Play

The last few years have witnessed a growing interest in a new approach to children's work called Godly Play. Many current programmes of faith development for children have perhaps been over concerned with transmitting information and set goals 'concerned with content' rather than paying equal attention to how the children themselves can enter the heart of the Bible stories to make their own discoveries of God's meaning and purpose for their lives. In this context Godly Play is receiving an enthusiastic response from children's leaders everywhere.
